Thanks for stopping by.
My name is Salman Agah. I’m one of two children born to Iranian/Azerbaijani immigrants. We were raised in Washington, D.C. up until the revolution in Iran in the late 70’s. My folks were divorced when my brother and I were very young. During the start of the revolution, our family fled from the United States due to the hostility toward Iranian-Americans. When we returned to the U.S., my father decided to move to California to pursue opportunities in business. We ended up settling in Northern California in the Bay Area. After moving to NorCal, we were brought up in a mixed family when my father remarried in the early 80’s. I now have 3 siblings all of which still live in California. After high school I became a professional skateboarder traveling all over the world doing demonstrations and competing as an ambassador of skateboarding and skateboarding culture. In 1993, I was awarded the prestigious Thrasher Magazine Skater of the Year award and have also been fortunate to make contributions to the progression of skateboarding throughout my career. Around 2003 after a rough dirt biking accident I decided to pursue my entrepreneurial interests. Since departing from the professional ranks of skateboarding, I’ve started a beverage company, an online social networking website for skateboarders, consulted for a mobile media marketing and content distribution company, as well as for other skateboarding-related brands and worked on various other projects. Currently, I operate a media cataloging and statistics company and website that specializes in dissecting skateboard magazines and producing statistics on all of the coverage. I’m also currently working with legendary photographer extraordinaire, Mike Ballard, producing a quarterly zine called skatebook. I now live in Downtown Los Angeles with my wife Price and our two dogs Xiola and Scout. Whatever the case, this is just a little intro and quick summary of my life.
Blessings on your head.

Comment by Steve Caballero March 25, 2008 @ 11:41 amWhat’s up old friend. I never thanked you for everything you did for me as a kid, so now I say thanks. MJ told me about some art show that you helped hook up and it sounds like it’s going to be cool.
Anyways, just saw your site so thought I’d say hello.

Look forward to seeing you soon at Hangtown. Let’s re-create that upside down singed buttered rice dish, this time outside the pro pits over AV’s gas stove.
